TuniTrack – Efficient Car Tracking for Rental Fleets
Rental car companies need real-time insights to manage large vehicle fleets effectively, but VHCLTrack faced significant hurdles. Integrating the mobile app with external hardware tracking systems required robust API interfaces, and frequent hardware updates made it difficult to maintain seamless communication, resulting in potential delays and system instability.
The Challenge
Mar 3, 2020
TuniTrack’s goal was to provide real-time vehicle location and maintenance alerts for rental car companies. The concept was a hit with initial pilot customers, but behind the scenes, the project kept losing momentum. The backlog ballooned with nice-to-have features, and sudden changes in priority meant nobody knew which tasks took precedence. Delays piled up, leaving management worried the product wouldn’t launch in time for a partnership with a major rental fleet. The development process itself lacked transparency; it was hard to tell which bugs were fixed, which were still pending, and how the final release would perform under real-world fleet usage. Because TuniTrack relied on an agency for most updates, something as simple as adding an extra filter to the tracking interface could drag on for weeks.
"ayeb reshaped our entire release cycle into something fast and predictable, freeing us to focus on the innovations that matter most. With each deployment running smoothly and our feature roadmap crystal clear, we’re now set to expand responsibly. Our fleet management platform has never been more stable or more trusted by our customers."

The Research
We helped TuniTrack’s leadership define a minimum viable product that focused on core functionality—real-time tracking, automated maintenance alerts, and basic usage analytics—rather than an overwhelming wish list of additional features. Once scope was established, we introduced transparent iteration cycles. TuniTrack’s decision-makers saw demos of every new feature and had ongoing discussions about upcoming sprints, so there were no surprises or hidden deadlines. We also tackled the platform’s technical bottlenecks. The data pipeline was optimized for faster updates, and we set up a continuous integration system with automated tests to prevent regressions in performance. TuniTrack’s in-house developers learned how to manage deployments independently and monitor the system’s health, cutting out the constant handoff to the external agency.
The Solution
By reducing the uncertainty around schedules, TuniTrack hit the crucial milestone they needed for the partnership launch. Early customers reported accurate and immediate location data, which made them more confident in expanding the service to their entire fleet. Freed from never-ending wait times on basic requests, TuniTrack’s team can now roll out enhancements—like a refined dashboard or advanced predictive analytics—at a steady pace. The company continues to refine its offering and is actively positioning itself as a leader in real-time fleet monitoring, all thanks to a stable development approach and a team that can steer the product forward on its own.
